does the new physical Google TV remote work with Android TV 9? On the website it says it requires Chromecast with Google TV, but maybe someone already tried it.

It will pair with any bluetooth device but not all features will work as they are hard coded to work with Chromecast with Google TV.
If any one owns a Sony TV With Google TV and they own a Chromecast With Google TV can you please try the remote
I have tried it now and it works out of the box for the most part.
Youtube/Netflix buttons don't work and a Quick Settings button is missing.
With the app 'button remapper' I was able to get everything working. I requires accessibility access, though (meaning it has access to all inputs - obviously needed to modify the button press)
Not sure if I'll keep it - navigating does feel a lot smoother now, almost like a different TV.

Out of the context question. I am having the Chromecast with Google TV - https://store.google.com/product/chromecast_google_tv?hl=en-GB . Installed STB EMU pro app and works excellent with the IPTV. However, I am unable to map any key to Mark a channel as favorite one. Anyone has any luck?
I see my Shield (2019) listed when I open the remote app. Haven't tested it but I'm guessing that means it would work?
On a related note, this connects to Chromecast via Bluetooth. I wish they would release an app the lets me phone be a remote for the Chromecast.
Why not buy the $15 Onn device from Walmart and use that remote with your device? It has a way better remote than the Google CC.
