My 2019 Shield TV Pro works very well on Wi-Fi, but then I only have issues on my Mi-Box 3 on Wi-Fi, when the pad next door fills up with party go'ers, all with their own cellphones.
Chromecast with Google TV is the best android TV box for Streaming. Period.
And if you want Android for games, then Nvidia Shield. Only these two.
And according to reviews, Chromecast with google TV give upto 250 mbp/s on Wifi
Shield TV Pro. Not just because you will have the very good WiFi but very good componentes overall.
Not sure what you mean by "box", but the new Fire 4k dongle is Wifi 6, FWTIW.
