Philips Smart TV Limiting Speeds

I’ve connected my Philips Smart TV to both wifi and Ethernet, only to receive the same max speed of 17mbps.  Connecting a computer to the same Ethernet, I’m getting over 100mbps.  Why would a tv limit my speed like that and is there any way to remove the limitation?

Try updating the app where you are making the speed test (im assuming your tv)

It's much more likely the speed test app is crap than the TV having that low of a bitrate limit if it had one and it's not likely to have one.

Have you tried using a browser and a web speedtest like Okla, I get full speed with any web test I do.
