Mi TV Stick wifi problems

I'm facing some wifi problems that appeared recently with my Mi TV Stick:

  1. The device doesn't connect automatically to wifi. After each reboot, I need to navigate to network menu and select the wifi to connect to it despite it was already saved.
  2. Poor connectivity despite the router is close to the TV, I tried to change wifi channel to 11 and now it's working better hoping that the problem is related to the selected channel.

PS: I have the last update. I tried to factory reset the device and the same problems persist. I tried also to share wifi from my phone, but the device refuses to connect automatically to it after reboot or when I disable wifi on my router.

Does anyone is facing the same problems?

I had the MI stick and my advice is to ditch and get the MI BOX S.

The 1 ram difference makes a huge difference in the device. I had one in my bedroom (living room is a Nvidia Shield) and i really regretting buying it.

What's the router you're using? Maybe enable 5ghz or get a router with one.

Also, turn on "scanning always available" in wi-fi settings of the stick.

I had the same problems with a Mi Box S. I changed router and all those problems went away.

I had a similar problem that was fixed by setting the time and date to automatic.

Don’t bother buying this trash product bought 2 of them and they have the same problem (overheating, no connection, lag, no power)
