no problems on my Android TV (Hisense H8G) in any case. i have a 100mbps connection, fwiw, but espn content is all 720p so it shouldn't need anywhere near that
if clearincg cache didn't work, perhaps try reinstalling the app

I think I'd contact espn since it's their app and youre a paid customer
