SmartTube Next activation saying Youtube on Xbox Live needs access to your account.

Have it installed on Chromecast with Google TV and when I do the code activation on Youtube it is saying Youtube on Xbox Live wants to have access to your account. Is this how it should be? Found it a little weird it's using XBox Live naming here. Just wondering if it's legit. Got the apk from here https://github.com/yuliskov/SmartTubeNext thanks

There' was apparently a snafu at some point and it was pulling the package from another of the same person's repos:

It looks like something new was added and the code was copied from the other project but not fully updated:

No big deal, but that's probably why you saw a different name

Happened to me too. But the next update corrected it to YouTube on tv or wtv.

It would be easier and more moral to just pay for YouTube Premium if you do not want adds. YouTube survives on ads and when you defeat those ads without paying for the privilege of having no ads then you are being dishonest.
