Can I turn off built-in Chromecast

by Wagsstuff

I have a Philips 50pfl5604. I promise I have tried to answer this online, but I don't know where else to turn. Philips is closed until tomorrow. My TV has chromecast built-in. I need it off because it is interfering with the TV in the other room. We have never used it but when we try certain apps on the other TV we get a pop-up wanting us to connect to it. (Example is Paramount +, Vudu, and Crackle) we can't close the pop-up on the other TV. All I can figure is I need to shut it off on my TV so it isn't showing on the network. I'm sorry if I am being dense. I really appreciate any help. 🤗

In the Apps menu on your Android TV, you should look for the Chromecast app and disable it.

If it is mixing b/w the two TVs then why don't you try changing the name of the TVs

The first 4 steps in section 1 is not relevant.

In the next section, at step 6 choose Disable instead of "Select clear data".

YEAH team. Thank you for the guidance. I was able to disable chromecast on my TV so now the other TV is working as it should. I appreciate y'all. 🤗
