Looking for a youtube app alternative that gives me some more options than the stock youtube app. Is SmartTubeNext still the best out there? I did a quick search though the subreddit and it seemed to be the one most peopled liked at the start of the year.
I prefer NewPipe, but only works for you if you don't need sync with your account/other devices at all (subscription, watched, history, status etc) in new pipe everything is stored locally no account, no tracking,=great privacy, and no ads (but it can't skip ads baked in video like smattube can)

Yes, it's awesome. Sometimes video playback stops working but they are pretty fast with updates. It's a small price to pay for no ads/sponsors.
Yeah, it has been absolutely awesome since launch. I used to think that it was 'feature complete' months ago but the dev keeps adding in new features and improvements, he's awesome. I can't think of what can possibly be improved/added.
When will it group categories the way the YouTube app does? This is my main beef, otherwise it is an awesome app
Yes. Currently quite in development but I use it regularly and it's been bug-less 95% of the time. It is what introduce me to content/sponsor skipping and it's still surprises me how good it is.
