Apps forever stuck on pending, clearing caches/uninstalling updates doesn't work

by Max_Cromeo

Just got a new TV (Polaroid 4K 50') and I can't download any new apps or update the existing ones. Whenever I try it just says "pending" indefinitely. I've searched online for solutions, most of which say to delete the cache from Google play/play services/download manager or uninstall the updates, neither of which have worked. The TV is brand new and has plenty of storage space, any ideas on how to fix this?

EDIT: The issue with solved when I added my other Google account to the tv.

Had this happen with a couple of other devices. I deleted the Google account. Then reboot, then add Google account again and it works. Hope this is good for you

Maybe just force stop Google Play and try again. I just ran into the same thing and that worked for me.

just clear data of g playstore in the app info and force stop it and restart the tv and then you can install.

I am having the same issue. I have a Sony Bravia TV. I cleared the cache in good play store and data and it didn’t solve the problem. It is still stuck in pending. I forced stop the app, cleared data several times, unplugged and replugged in the TV. Nothing. Any other ideas???

I had the same issue with my Android TV (Sony KD-55AG8) and what worked for me was uninstalling updates of “Google Play Store” app. What that does is it restores the factory version. After that all app completed updates successfully.

Before that I had tried clearing out storage, cache and restarting but in my case did not help.

Remove your Google account from tv and reinsert google account, it seems to be problem through Google tv when initially set up via Google home, it does not let you verify play store through this method
