Plex player not working properly on MiBox S

I bought a MiBox S a couple of days ago and every time I open plex there's a new issue.The first time everything worked flawlessly and I managed to watch a 4K film in direct play.The second time it wouldn't play any content on the server despite it working perfectly fine on my mobile phone and on the same Wi-Fi.The third time it wouldn't let me switch users, giving me the following message "user switching is not available, check your internet connection or status.plex.tv". Although this time it DID see the content but wanted to transcode anything, the same 4K film I watched a couple of days prior was being transcoded in 480p. Again, Plex on my phone was working flawlessly on the same LAN.What can I do? I set the quality to max so it wouldn't transcode. I tried with a static and dynamic IP although I don't think it could change a lot since it's on the same LAN as the server.MiBox is running Android version 9 and Plex is updated to version 8.19.3.Thanks!

I suppose you've done all the latest Android updates and already tried a hard reboot of the box. 2 things you could try :

  1. Reboot your Plex instance on your server (VM or whatever)
  2. Force stop Plex app on mibox and open it again.
    For that you go to Settings (top right corner on home screen) > Apps > Plex > Force Stop
    Then you can open the app again.
    Regarding IP settings a static one on your LAN network is good.
