I have an issue with my Nvidia Shield audio. Whenever my shield goes into sleep mode, or I pause my show for a brief period of time, the video will play but the audio will not be audible until I rewind the show or restart the app. I am having to do this each time. Is there a setting that I am missing or something I am doing wrong? I tried updating it but it says that it is up to date.
Setup: I have an LG tv that has a Samsung sound bar connected to it via fiber optic. All the HDMI cables are routed to the tv.
Does your soundbar have arc (HDMI port that would be labeled)? If so you should connect that to the arc HDMI input on the tv and make sure cec is enabled on the tv. If the tv and soundbar have that feature that would fix your problem. Otherwise I'm not sure what to tell you.
