Channel Settings - m3u

by Captain-Kaze

Hi everybody,

I got my new Android TV - TV today and was wondering if I can add my legal M3U File into the native Channel Streaming Settings. In the VLC App I can use this file already.

In the Settings, there is VLC as an Option, but I couldn't get it running.

Thank you very much in advance :)

Tivimate is the best m3u player going.

I use TVirl for that, it supports multiple playlists and epg files.

It is free if you don't mind manually checking for playlist updates every few days. For the auto update feature you need to pay.

Using the live channels app allows you to change channels saying "okay google, play channel_name".

Channels show up in the live channels app and streaming channels (TCL, RCA and maybe some others).

It is the only free option I could find that supports this 2 apps. Other options force you to use their shitty interface.

What legal m3u file do you have? Could you please tell us the service name?

Check out CosmiDVR, is an add-on for live channels and you can use your m3u file with it and watch using live channels. You can pause, rewind and ffwd live tv with it and full DVR functionality.
