Having the same issue. Factory reset doesn't help. I've contacted their support about it. Will let you know if/when they respond.

Same problem with my mecool Device
am having the exact same error. Tried on/off, factory reset and nothing worked. I have a friend with a KM2 too and his works perfectly fine.
Same problem. Anyone knows how to solve. Is it patched already.. There are tv button on remote so it means device s designed to be able to control tv.
Have you tried simply restarting your KM2?
You could also try resetting it to factory defaults and going through the setup process again.
Lastly, try reaching out to Mecool support.
