I'm trying to install a few games for my Sony A80J TV. It uses Google TV. But the internal storage is too small. Only 4GB available. I tried to add an external storage using an 128 GB USB stick. While it did format and works fine (I can now transfer existing apps' data to the external storage). I still don't have an option to choose the external storage while installing new apps - trying to install Asphalt 9 and it says there's not enough room on the device. Any suggestions?
You need to transfer the "other" data that uses the system to identify the new external storage as an internal one:
Since your TV is using Google TV I'm not sure the exact location of the option but on Android TV you had to do this:
Go to settings -> device preferences -> storage -> open the external storage and select "move data" or something similar.
