Your tv just can't handle HDR properly. It does support it "officially", but you can see what real life result is. For true HDR support tv has to have at least 500 nits of brightness and local dimming zones. This model, same as any other budget 4k tv, has none of these

The problem with HDR is that most TVs that claim to do HDR can't actually do HDR and have HDR that looks 10x worse than their SDR..

I know too little about your TV tomhelp you unfortunately.

I have the same issue. When is streaming from netflix or Amazon colors are ok. But when they are samples like the ones in your capture i prefer the non HDR. Colors are better in those files for me.

I adjusted the picture settings when displaying hdr content, seems that the settings are different for hdr and non-hdr content, at least on my Bravia.

So this is what happens when the Player or the TV doesn't flip to 'HDR' mode when an HDR video is played. It washes out the colors. What player are you using for this, that player may not support HDR. Does HDR content from like a built in streaming player like Netflix or Disney+ look right?
