Unsure. I guess I could try it. I've not had anything from Spectrum I don't have otherwise though.
I sideloaded the TWC app, when I worked for them. Was around for the transition to Spectrum and they used the TWC platform as a base. I was able to get it to work, but navigation was rough. Could possibly use the VNC-like apps that are available to resolve that. We only have 1 regular TV we watch, so never got too deep into trying to get it to work.
As of 9-25-2021, Spectrum TV app was not available in the Google Play Store for Android TV.
I found out when I helped a friend setup his Philips 4K TV that uses Android OS. My friend received the 50" 4K TV for FREE from another friend. Yes I know he could use Chromecast or Roku connected to TV to get Spectrum TV on his TV, but that's not the point.
I am still in shock Spectrum TV app is not available on Android TV OS.
My friend doesn't mind. He uses a Cable Box connected to this TV.
Why don't you sideload it and see?
Nope. Not available there. Strange, huh?
Spectrum has been useless getting their shit to work on up to date Android
Stremium is a third party application with Spectrum support https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fitzytv.android&hl=en_US&gl=US
Not officially.
Hopefully https://www.spectrum.net/support/tv/tv-app-frequently-asked-questions/ is up-to-date, since it's on the official Spectrum website:
