Looking for a good bluetooth or wireless remote that doesn't connect as a keyboard

by yukichigai

New AndroidTV owner here (Hisense, specifically). I'm trying to find something I can use to control my TV that doesn't require line of sight or a cord, but so far my success with wireless devices has been, uh, not great. Gamepads lack enough buttons, and keyboards seem to make a lot of apps freak out; in particular, many apps will not process any key on a standard keyboard as "OK", won't respond to cursor clicks, so on. I would like to figure out why that is and how to fix it, but that's a "later" problem. Right now I'd just like to find a good bluetooth/wireless remote that I can use to control my TV without having to worry about something being in between me and the screen.

Can anyone provide any recommendations for bluetooth or wireless remotes that work well with AndroidTV?

I'm using something called G20. There is a lot of it on aliexpress, clones of the same equipment under different brands, mine is from Weechip. It works flawlessly, requires no configuration, you insert a USB dongle and that's it.

I use Cetus play app on my android phone. For this, the phone and TV should be on same router. App should be installed on TV as well.
