weird that theirs two different Apple TV apps listed under Apple Inc's profile . one of them continues to say that its incompatible with my TV, but the other installed (interesting, the incompatible one says its version 3.0 and the one that worked is 2.2, but that 3.0 one was updated in March shrugs )

I can't play anything except the Intro video introducing you to AppleTV+. When I try to play Ted Lasso for example, half the time the app crashes completely and kicks me to my home screen. The times it does manage to play, I get zero audio at all, only video. Then if I try to ff or rewind, it will crash the app entirely.
No other app (Disney+, Netflix, Prime Video, HBOMax, Hulu, etc.) has this problem
TiVo Stream 4K, everything else is all updated. Anyone else have this problem?
I restarted my device in settings and while still a tad slower than I would like, it now plays back successfully. I forgot that I am running beta firmware on the TiVo. I'll file a bug report.
I tried this app yesterday on my Philips AndroidTV and it works like crap. It lags, doesn’t save bookmarks, and there were a lot of artifacts during playback of Mythic Quest with 4K and Dolby Vision.

(Sony Android TV variant) 3.0 didn't work. Kept saying that I needed a software update.
Version 2.2 APK worked perfectly. I was able to sign in using the QR code on the screen, it looks like Atmos is working and HDR shows up on the picture adjustments menu when I bring it up but not on the menus (as expected).
Yea got it on the OnePlus TV. Pretty sluggish to be honest. Hopefully it improves with time.

so, anyone having issues with the app not staying logged in.
i logged in and watched something yesterday. launched the app today and it wanted me to login again, which i did. then tonight i had to do the same thing again. it's very annoying having to grab my phone and scan the QR code to login so freaking often.
doesn't seem to be available on my Philips 43PUS8505 (2020 model). Strange.
I just got an Android TV I was able to download and install the app, but when I opened it the Apple TV logo will stay in the middle of the screen, it let me browse and even log in with my apple ID, but still the logo stayed in the middle. Additional (with the logo in the middle all the time) everytime I tried to play any content it says it is not available and there might be an issue with my Internet connection, when there is not. I have already Restarted and even uninstalled and installed the app again, but the issue remains. Thanks for any help or guide

I had sideloaded this ages ago on my Skyworth Android TV box, but nothing ever played.
Updated to the new 2.2 version, it wouldn't even open.
Uninstalled and clean installed from the Play Store, and it works, scrolling still has that slight bit of lag, but video plays perfectly. Only problem is that there's no sound.
So yeah... Apple really needs to up their software QA.
Can I ask a dumb question? Is this just to play apple content or does it interact with iTunes in your house and let you play music and movies on a computer? Can you airplay to this app?
