I saw a very interesting article today about Google and Samsung merging their Android Wear OS (a smartwatch operating system) and Samsungs Tizen watch OS under the Android Wear OS umbrella. 11 things we know about the new smartwatch OS from Google and Samsung - The Verge

As such, I think that it will also follow that Samsung will merge their Tizen TV OS into Android TV OS too later this year. I think it will be really a good thing to make TV OS generally more consistent and give them a lot more smart functionality than Samsung with their Tizen OS currently offer. Hopefully LG will follow suit with WebOS, which I find terribly limited in terms of functionality and app selection.
