Few weeks ago I ordered an Android TV box: Mecool KM2. I bought it because it comes with the new Google TV G10 reference remote.
Tried the new remote and it's amazing (personal opinion, compared to Sony XH900 original remote). I have only one complain about it: the sources, settings and those 4 buttons for apps are not working when connected to TV.
I tried Button Mapper to fix this issue but no luck. When I try to add one of those buttons to assign a custom action no button is detected (but the white LED of TV is blinking). Any suggestions on how I can make those button work?
FYI I had the same experience trying to get this remote to work with the Chromecast with Google TV - agree it is a great remote and completely perplexing why they won't just sell this a stand alone upgrade for lots of devices that could use it
