So I got an Android Tv and use Tivimate for my tv. Wanted the option to record and couldn't figure out a way to record to the USB stick. I found that if I format the USB stick as Shared Storage, I could move tivimate to the USB stick and it would save the recordings there as well. It was a perfect plan, worked flawlessly until my tv updated. None of the apps on the USB stick would show up. So I tried to reformat and it succeeds, but then shows 0 bytes available. Tried again, and same problem. Got a new stick, set it all up, and next update had the same problem. Like WTF is going on?
TiViMate doesn't like being on external device storage. It doesn't work at all for me on the Shield when installed that way. Have you tried leaving TiViMate on internal and sending recordings to external?
