I just got a CCWGTV to replace my Amazon Fire Stick 4k, I hated the new Amazon update. Anyway I assumed on CCWGTV I could get any AndroidTV app, however I cannot get Locast which I use for local TV. Also Nick Jr which my kids like. I searched for both on CCWGTV and cannot find them. Any help??
I'm assuming you're searching through the Google Assistant and not in the play store. Sometimes the assistant doesn't get that stuff right. Google doesn't make accessing the play store easy. There are a couple ways you can get there, but the method that I prefer is using the button mapper app. You can program one of the buttons on your remote to open the play store. You should, in theory, be able to find your apps in there. I'm not sure why else they wouldn't show up.
You may also be able to install apps to your chromecast by going to play.google.com and finding the app there to install.
If all else fails, you should be able to sideload those apps
