There will be a cast button on any compatible apps you have, just press it and choose your TV and it'll play on your TV.
if you look up airplay in the google play store, you will find some apps that will just make your android tv appear as an airplay client on you iphone
lots of iPhone apps have Chromecast support. it'll look similar to this description of PBS' app, for example .
