I was wondering if I could play 4k HDR movies in Mi LED TV 4S 55'' from my USB drive. Before buying one I wanted to be sure if I could play. I have a huge collection of 4K movies in my HDD so if I could play them it would be great. FYI those 4k movies are pretty big in size , almost 10 GB each
There are 3600 seconds in an hour, and 10000 megabytes in 10 GB. 10000/3600 = 2.8 MB per second in the worst case scenario (a movie of only 60 mins). USB2 would even handle that with ease, let alone USB3. You would probably hit a limit with 72 GB movie files for 60 minutes of video with USB2.
