This isnt for me. Im trying to setup TV for my grandparents, I have an extra firestick and a chromecast with google TV. Is it possible to watch spectrum TV through a browser or somehow sideload the app and it actually work? Casting from their phone is out of the question.. The fact that I can no longer download the app to their roku tv is very annoying.
Tried doing the literal same thing for my grandparents. The only way it can be done is via a shitty apple tv box bc someone at spectrum was too lazy to make the app work on tv. You can get it to work on Android tv but you would need a computer science degree just to change a channel. I'm not a Android dev but is it really that hard add remote support for an app that only needs ⬆️⬇️⬅️➡️ 🆗🔈🔉🔊 1234567890? This is purely a spectrum being shitty spectrum situation.
As far as Chromecast no it would have to be via cast through phone. I havent used firetv in while but what I recall is even via sideload you would need ability to use mouse controls and would have to manually update the app.
