I was looking at the Nvidia Games app in the playstore and the first picture under the app photos shows the app on a Google TV interface type homescreen.
This seems to be the next update for our sheilds. It looks slightly different from the chromecast version and it's not too far off from the UI we have now.
It also looks like it has some better integration with GeForce Now.

It's not the Google TV UI but the new launcher mimicking Google TV UI. For example Google TV has a Watchlist tab and Android TV new launcher doesn't.
Already I have side loaded on my Mi Boxes and Shields too.
So it does have a big ad at the top. I thought the shield didn't have that ad for services not subscribed to (or hbo max stuff showing up if I don't have the hbo max app).

guys the new 'google tv' interface is just the same interface (but with the ads like other android tv devices have gotten sans shield tvs luckily till now) but without the app icons circle to the left - look at it
