JVC 4K UHD LED - Replace Live TV App?

The TV came with ‘Live TV’ app installed. I have ‘Live Channels’ on another TV and the interface is far superior.

I have added it to my JVC but Live TV keeps taking over. There is no option to uninstall. I am wondering if there is some way to prevent it overriding, or better yet, remove it all together?

Can you go to settings>apps>default apps and set it there?

What specific features are superior in the live channels application? I doubt it has the hbbtv or freeview support.
