Server side switch, my Mi Box S in USA got it before I sold the Mi Box S for a CCwGTV (Mi Box Wake from sleep bug was a deal breaker)

I believe it's only available in the US for now. I had it for a brief moment while I was connected to a VPN but it reverted once i disconnected.
