Can anybody please help!!

I have purchased an android Tv a few days back. When I tried connnecting my laptop to it with an HDMI cable, it is not working. I have looked it up on the net a lot of times, however, i have not found a solution that works.

When i went into the the display settings in my PC, i am able to see that a secondary display is connected, however it shows that the display is not active.

I am certain that i am using the right HDMI port on the TV, where it shows - "No signal is active, check if it is on".

I have also tried using different HDMI ports too.

Can anybody please help. Thank you

Might be a stupid question.....but did you switch the tv input to the correct hdmi port after connecting the PC?

Have you restarted the laptop, while the tv is connected and powered on? I've had to do that occasionally with my laptop and a samsung smart(not android) tv that I have.

Here is something I just ran into today and you might want to check that too. In NVIDIA Control Panel (assuming your laptop has NVIDIA Graphics Card) see the display status. It might be inactive from there. It will show the display connected but will not show anything if the display is not active.

This will show under : Display --> Setup multiple Displays. There should be a check box against the connected displays. Hope this helps.

Hold on. Does your laptop have HDMI in?
