With january 2021 firmware update, i could revive mi mi TV stick unusable since previous update.
First, i will reveal that the way i revived it confirmed my suspissions : the previous firmware had bad thermal management or was pushing the hardware out of thermal bound.
First difficulty was to update with thermal issue.
To bypass this issue:
- i removed the cover to expose the heatsink (like in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrPR-LJpE4w )
- i cooled the device by putting to contact with heatsink a freeze block
- After successfull boot, i reset the device
- i made first confuguration in order to allow update
- after reboot, i made the update
Now my device is working reliably
