I'm having a TV restarting problem ever since setting up my new Shield Pro 2019.
My setup is:
Sony X900F with Android 9
v
Denon X3500H
v
Shield Pro 2019
CEC is disabled on all three devices. AVR is connected to the TV on the ARC port, but ARC is disabled. The Shield remote is programmed via IR to turn on and off my AVR and TV.
The situation:
-
All devices off
-
Press power button on Shield remote
-
All three devices turn on (TV to HDMI 3 - ARC, AVR to Shield)
-
Begin watching content on one of my apps on the Shield
-
After 3-20 minutes, the TV will completely shut off, turn back on, and begin booting through Android TV
-
Begin watching content again
At this point, this happens every time I first watch content on the Shield. This did not happen prior to using the Shield. This does not happen if I do not use the Shield (only turning on the TV and AVR and watching content on the TV's built-in apps).
I thought this might be a classic CEC issue, so I disabled CEC completely and only have the Shield remote set to power on/off devices via IR. All energy saving modes are off. The TV is set to stand by for 24 hours, but there's less than 24 hours between this happening.
Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?
What happens if you connect the Shield to the Sony and turn on ARC?
