Out of storage on Chromecast Google TV

Hello,

I found out today that I have no storage left on my google chromecast. I don't store any files locally on the device and just have the standard set of apps (Hulu, HBO Max, Netflix, etc.) yet somehow I am out of storage. I checked in Android settings and none of the apps are taking more than ~100MB. I also downloaded Fx file explorer and it did not find any large files. I suspect some cache is not getting cleared and so I've run out of space. Is there any other option than to perform a full factory reset?

Clear the cache on all apps individually first..

Settings- apps- pick each app and clear cache manually.

You can always grab a USB C hub with power passthrough, and add a USB drive for additional storage.

How much is the cache in the storage section showing. That's what I have to clear periodically..

I had this same issue on two of my Chromecast as well. For me Twitch was taking up .5gb.

The X-Plore app has a disk map feature that might be useful to you.

I have the same issue. I only have 15 apps on the device and can't put anymore on there b/c it's too much. I added up the size and it's barely 1 GB for a supposedly 4 GB device? Come on, Google.
