Ugh. I just want to buy a dumb TV and add a streaming box because of stuff like this. How many more years will my Panasonic ST55 last???
Contact Sony since that usually means the flash is bad so it won't boot
Lol seeing that it kinda reminds me of windows 7 booting up
Talking to a tech, they said that on Sony TVs when the OS get corrupted it’s fucked. You cannot reflash the board
Sorry if it seems obvious but did you try unplugging it and wait for at least a min? Turning it off is not the the same as unplugging it.
Hold down and power while plugging power into tv. Hold until led is green. When you see setup screen wait 60 seconds as it will factory reset and reboot twice
Have you tried taking the stones out of the infinity gauntlet and clearing cache and cookies?
Could be a defective mainboard. If you're adventurous they aren't that expensive or hard to replace.
I had it off for 10 mins
There might be a way to get it into recovery mode. Hold the power button and then plug in the tv, continue holding the power button for another 3 to 5 seconds. You may need a keyboard to navigate the recovery mode. There should be an option to factory reset the tv.
Edit: The power button on the tv not on the remote.
I had the same problem with my KD-49X8305C, wasn't able to resolve it.
Is there a way to turn a TV like this into a dumb TV you could just attach a Shield/Chromecast to?
Try the cables that came with it.
For me whenever I turn on the TV after around 60 seconds everytime it restarts and turns back on, EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
This is an old post, but did you ever get it fixed? This has literally just happened to me and I'm not wondering if I go with the mainboard fix... a possible service centre quotation or... or... throw the towel in on it.
6 years though. Doesn't feel long enough for a TVs life.
Ah, android
Factory Reset - Hold vol- and power button while plugging the power socket back in and wait till the light goes green, let go and the setup screen should show up to perform a factory reset.
