Xiaomi Mi TV 4A randomly wakes from sleep

Hey!

Have a Xiaomi Mi TV 4A (32'') and it has this annoying issue of randomly waking up from sleep mode.

If you set it to sleep, either with 1 click on the power button of the remote, or sleep timer, it ends up waking after some (random amount) time.

Need to shut it down every time to prevent this from happening

Anyone with some sort of fix for this?

Already tried factory resting it, and got same results...

Yeah same for me with 4S

I have the same problem with mine. It started to wake up by its own with volume muted several weeks ago and I do not know why.

I have not tried a factory reset yet, just shut down every time.

Yes same goes to my TV too...we need a update guys it's a bugs I guess.

Ok, I can confirm that its "fixed" (thanks u/skdzzz for poiting this out)

  • Activate developer tools (Settings -> device preferences -> about -> multiple clicks on build number)
  • Go back to developer tools menu, disable "wake on wifi" (or if needed also wake on lan)
  • Additionally there's a "Factory Menu" option, which has this same "wake on" options, and in my case, had to disable it there too.

That's just one of the many issues that come with a Mi TV. Just keep the remote nearby to turn off the TV
