Disable ipv6 in network settings.
Yeah it's the new android 9 build that is broken. I think most users had problems. I updated to it and prime video (along with a lot of other stuff) started having problems.
After some time i actually downgraded back to android 8 last week. If you want i can link you the guide i followed.
So there is no solution until xiaomi decides to push an update with fixes that considering how old the device is getting could not come for a long time or not at all.
Only positive thing i realized is that after downgrading i couldn't see the android 9 update from system settings. That means in my opinion that xiaomi pulled back the update because they realized it's not working at all.
