Help! I have an Nvidia Shield Tv Pro with YouTube Tv installed on it. I am however unable to use my remote to access content from the app. I can only open and close the app. I have to cast from my phone to the screen. What could be preventing the shield remote from working on the YTTV app?
That sounds really odd. I have had shield tv for three years and youtube tv for the last two and never had any issues guiding the UI with my shield remote.
But just as a general suggestion
Has yttv ever worked for you on shield? Was there possibly a shield update that coincided with this change.
YouTube TV on the web missing ability to natively Cast as of a few days ago. I have no idea if this is related or not. I have a Chromecast with Google TV which is destined for the second TV. The first TV will only then be upgraded and moved to a Shield Pro, so no direct experience here. I have no idea if the native casting and the issue you have are related, as I only recently escaped from cable. I wanted to share in case someone with more experience could deduce a relationship.
