What one should I go with for mainly watching video content?
I like the shield better because of the Ethernet port, but is it rly worth the extra $100 for it and speed boost?

I own both. The Shield is worth every penny if you plan to utilize the extra features. For just streaming Netflix, Hulu, etc., the TiVo Stream 4K is probably all you need as long as your wifi signal is strong enough wherever you plan to set it up.

The Tivo Stream 4k is a very nice device and among the best budget devices. The little remote is killer it handles everything it's designed to do with ease. If you just think you will just stream content with it I can recommendit whole heartedly. I won't compare it to the Shield as they are too different classes of device and it's not fair to do so. I'll just say both are worth what they cost.
