EPSON LS300 Good picture quality, but lacks most important apps

by techlwyr

I just wanted to share with everyone interested in getting EPSON's LS300 UST Projector that, albeit the picture quality is good, the pre-installed version of Android TV does not support (natively) most apps or streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime. It does support HBO Max, and Disney+.

Amazon Prime app is available and working on Android TV on the Epson LS300 now. I wonder if it may be a Google Play Store issue for Android TV and Netflix rather than an issue specific to EPSON per se. For example, if you sideload the most recent Netflix app, it runs, although it’s difficult to operate because it expects a touch screen.

Does anyone know why this is the case?

One question how are you guys able to see unknown apps? I am able to install when i enable the option but i dont see the app anywhere else...when i try to reinstall it gives warning that you are overriding the app. That means it got installed.

Sideloading onto roku means adding code on roku site and getting the channel? Is that what you are referring? I tried that the app owners said they not supporting roku platform anymore
