HDMI CEC not working (my ps4 pro won’t turn on my tv anymore)

by retrotriforce

Hello everyone,

I used to turn on my TV by turning on my ps4 pro with the home button on my controller using HDMI CEC but for some reason it’s not working any more.

I have a TCL tv running AndroidOS and I don’t understand what seems to be the issue. The HDMI Link option in my ps4 is turned on as well as as the one in my TV settings. (Which i’ve read that this can be the problem but idk how?)

If anyone has a solution please enlighten me because it is very inconvenient as I don’t have a remote controller and must turn on my tv manually.

Thank you.

Try to unplug both devices for 30 seconds. I have constant samsung tv cec issues that I have resorted to having a smart plug shut it off in the middle of the night. This usually fixes it.

This happened to me with my hisense tv and roku ultra. Im not sure if it was a hdmi cable, or many be a low voltage power outlet or what . So i bought a new hdmi 2.2 cable and repeated the set up process again. https://youtu.be/oeCR2NyeAP0

Its worked fine since..
