New to AndroidTV

I recently heard and am looking in getting into androidTV and I had a few questions.

  1. Are there free tv channels it can browse? If so how many and if you can find it what are they?
  2. I have heard of hybrid android boxes. Are they just as good or would it be better to stick with straight IPTV?
  3. In terms of getting specific channels are there services that provide a wide variety of channels or am i stuck paying $10 to 5 different subs a month.
  4. Is there some hardware that you find is the best to use when both on and off a budget?

I am sorry if any of these are obvious but as I can find information on the hardware there's not much definitive info I can find on the tv channel subs/software

Take a browse through the play store and see what catches your eye. There's free app like all4, My5, ITV hub and more that you don't need to pay to watch the content.

you will need a network tuner for the free channels, like HDhomerun or Fire TV recast.
