I have a tcl and yesterday it asked to do an update and so i did and since every time i turn it on i have to reenter the wifi password. It never did this before

Not sure why it is doing that, but try this. Go in and "Forget" that network. Then, re-add it from scratch.
Hopefully, it will stick then.
