ARC support for Element E4STA5517 (TU43GDX) Android TV

I cannot get ARC to work on my Element Android TV. ARC is labeled on HDMI 2 but there is no options, that I can find, in the Android TV settings to enable it. It's Android 7.1.2

My whole goal is to get 4k through my Chromecast Ultra on the tv and send the audio signal via HDMI to my receiver. I have a Yamaha RX-V367. I am currently running an optical cable to the receiver from the TV and it sounds terrible compared to HDMI.

I have that same receiver. I have my roku ultra connected to the TV HDMI/ARC 1 input and use a optical cable from my hisense h8 rear TV panel to the optical in on the receiver using the receivers AV 1 setting. I know i get 5.1 but i cant say the receivers capable of 7.1.

Have you tried the surround settings? to see if the receiver detects and passes thru a signal higher than 5.1?

Worked on my vizio.. check the element tv system settings and find cec and set it to arc only. I also have my audio-analogue audio out set to variable. Make sure the sound bar has the right I put selected.

I just switched from ccgtv to nvidia shield because even w/arc working it was going from 5.1 to stereo just flaking out on me constantly. I have a newer vizio tv w/an LG 5.1.2 sound bar.
