Recommended Android TV brands/models to be able to run VPN software

Hi all,

Considering purchasing an Android TV to use VPN software on it.

  1. Which TV brands allow to do it?
  2. Should a TV be rooted?

All of them its android and no you don't need to be rooted

All official android TV models support vpns by default. I use express on my shield , works well.

I even use a VPN on my Chromecast w/ Google TV. As long as the TV supports Android TV/Google TV, you should be fine.
