Annoying design for sure.
You can get rid of this at least in prime, edit the kids profile and remove it from there, next time you launch prime it will take you straight to your main account home screen.
I use the profiles to my advantage. Since these services make suggestions based on viewing habits, I have created a profile that I have trained to give me anime suggestions and a main profile that tracks non-anime viewing.
I think even if a user has more than 1 user, they need to have the option to select a default user profile.
