Best wired controller for Android TV?

by ja55ie

Hi, I was wondering what you guys think the best WIRED gamepad controller that is compatible with Android TV?

I have a PDP Xbox Controller and unfortunately it doesn't seem to work with Android TV so I was wondering if anyone here has good recommendations.

As far as WIRED goes, I've always had way better luck with Xbox 360 controllers over newer gens, though I haven't tried plugging in my latest model (usb-c) one yet.

I always had issues on the Xbox One wired controllers where the analog sticks either didn't work or registered a direction being pushed on their own, both issues rendering it unusable for play.

WIRELESS xbox one and newer, on the other hand, works flawlessly. I did have to enable GAME MODE on my TV to make all input lag go away though.

my older model wired Gamesir has worked well. though I recently switched to a ps4 controller and I like it more

Logitech Gamepad F310 $19 US.

Ive used this on both the original Mi Box and 2nd Gen nVidia Shield.,

I'm going to say Stadia's (had no lag in GeForce Now compared to Xbox One via bluetooth), except for an annoying pop-up that I don't know how to disable.

When you connect the controller it asks if you want to open Stadia. That's fine, you say no... Then it asks again, and again... even while you're playing other stuff. At least that happens in the new Chromecast, I don't remember that happening in my Android phone.
