Chromecast is requiring a power outlet as TV USB outputs are not powerful enough. I tried plugging it into my TV's USB and it seems that chromecast is working. Is there any reason I shouldn't use TV's USB port to power up my chromecast?

You have to wait for it to boot everytime you turn off then on your TV.
I recently tried plugging a spare chromecast into my soundbars usb. There was no error or warning but it would randomly reboot when I tried casting it things.
So I guess if you have no issues then it's probably fine.
I thought it needs power delivery for the usb c port. I tried my projector that has a 2.5A output that should have been enough and google tv spits out an error message on boot.
Seems others have managed on normal usb ports without power delivery?
There's always the chance you'll turn it off while it's doing an update and brick it.
