Is it possible to pair MI BT remote with amazon Fire TV or Firestick?

Not a direct answer, but I was successful in pairing the fire stick remote to a Android TV. Navigation worked, but I wasn't able to use the assistant button. I suspect it would work as a bt HID device, but likely couldn't use the Alexa button.

I couldn't pair mi stick remote to shield, I could pair it to my Samsung s7 but it didn't control anything
