Google TV can't recognise ethernet.. please help!

by FolieAJew

Hey, at my wit's end here..

I recently got a Google TV to replace my CC ultra and ethernet is a must. I bought an ethernet adapter with power passthrough etc and it powers up fine but the ethernet won't work.. it also has 2x usb ports and they also do not work - anyone have any ideas?

Not power, I have a 30w cable and brick powering it all and.it seems fine so I think we can count this out. It also "warp charges" my phone so I know it is outputting the full power thru the hub.

Not the unit itself, plugged into my phone it can warp charge, use a usb controller and support ethernet all at the same time

Default GTV firmware, latest version

I'm in Sweden

I've also turned off WiFi to test, there's no signal at all in this case

Hub isn't incompatible.. other users have told me they use it for this purpose

It really seems like nothing is the issue?

This is the hub

I'd LOVE any suggestions here, thanks!!

Plug everything into the hub then plug into the Chromecast

I know this is going to sound weird, but I had this issue with 2 Google TV's, and I don't know why, but this helped.

Go to your network settings, go to DHCP and turn it off for a few seconds then on. I believe that was it, I will make sure that's the correct setting when I get a break in an hour. Try it and tell me how it goes.

try a couple different power supplies

make sure the ethernet cable is actually working and plugged in correctly.

beyond that, you may have just received a dud.
