After enabling your VPN connection. Go to settings -> languages select English (UK) wait a sec then select English ( US) . This will refresh your interface . It works for me, and I use it in RO.

I love outside of supported country and I get the google tv Ui with vpn
Mine goes to this UI when my VPN is on. I think this is the apps only mode. Turn the VPN off and it should revert back to full UI.
