Need help with TCL 49D2930 Smart TV

Hi all, I've looked and looked online but maybe I don't know what to search for exactly but I'm coming up blank.

I live in Costa Rica, I have a TCL 49D2930 Smart TV that was purchased about four years ago approximately. The problem I have is that the TV comes with very few apps, the ones it has are all for European or Indian apps, and there is now way to download any other apps or get to the Google Play Store.

Is there anyway to get around this, or am I screwed because the TV is simply too old/obsolete?

Hey! You can use services like APKMirror or apkpure to download on your computer those APKs you're interested in and sideloading on your TV. Apkpure has an app that works even on Android TV, if you use an autorotate app. There's also Aptoide but haven't tried it yet on TV.

You can try installing Aptoide TV (from the browser or a USB stick), but if it don't work, you need to buy the Chromecast with Google TV, Fire TV Stick or a TV Box
